Second marking period-Alyssa

11.
To create this flyer I used Adobe Photoshop. I then changed my background to have a colorful gradient background. Next, I typed in cheer leading to be my title using the crazy text effect method. I then typed in the who, when, where and why information of cheer leading. When I typed in my why i used the glass text effect. Afterwards I inserted pictures of a ram, the Mcsm logo, cheerleaders and a picture of myself wearing the Mcsm  cheering uniform. When I inserted a picture of the ram I used the magic wand to cut out the white background it had. This made the ram blend in more with my background.

To create this image I first went on the internet and got a picture of a dress that appealed my eyes and a pattern texture. I then opened the images under Adobe Photoshop and clicked on the dress first. Next I used the  Magnetic Lasso Tool to separate the dress form the figure it was originally on. After clicking the right
selection to make the magnetic lasso fit perfectly with the dress. Then on the file with the texture I copied and pasted it on top of the red dress. Next I clipped the layers together and  selected the texture layer and chose a Layer Mode, I finally lowered the texture layer opacity  to complete the effect.

To create this image i first had to think of junk food that i like to eat. i love to eat chocolate pudding so i got a picture from online of a bowl with pudding. i then thought of  something nutritious that could replace pudding. i love apple sauce so i found an image of apple sauce in a bowl. next i opened Adobe Photoshop and made my background a solid color. Afterwards i copied and pasted the image of the pudding into my background. with the bowl of pudding now on my background i used the magnetic lassso to cut out the top layer of pudding. with this cut out i copied and pasted the image of the apple sauce. i made the missing layer of pudding into a top layer of apple sauce. the top layer showed apple sauce but the bottom showed the pudding to show the comparison. i then added apples next to my image to make it more noticeable. i then typed in my nutritious facts and made the images and my text have a outer glow.

To create this image i first found a picture of a pumpkin from the internet. i then opened Adobe Photoshop and made my background black. i then opened another file which was the picture of the pumpkin. next i used the magnetic lasso to cut the background of the pumpkin. With no background i copied and pasted the pumpkin to the all black background. After wards I used the pen to make shapes on the pumpkin such as the triangle eyes and nose. i then made a mouth. next i used the blending options to to make my shapes have a glow effect. after wards i typed in "Think Halloween and made the surrounding of my pumpkin have an effect as well. finally, i wrote my initials and year on the pumpkin using the pen.

                                                                               15.

To create this image i first found a picture of a brick wall and a UK flag. Then i opened Adobe Photoshop and made a new document with the same settings as the one on display. i then opened two new files one with the brick wall and the other with the UK flag. On the UK flag i changed the bending options to hard light. I then duplicated the brick layer. With the copied layer selected i picked filter-blur- Gaussian blur. In the blur text dialogue box i clicked 1 pt. I then saved the file. Clicking on the flag layer i picked filter-distort-displace. In the displacement dialog box i entered the horizontal  and vertical scale. Then i clicked on the displacement map and on the brick layer i picked on blending options and clicked hard light. I finally set the opacity to 80%

                                                                             18.
To create this image I first found a picture of Shane Larkins face and opened it up on Adobe Photoshop.  With these filters I was able to add a blur glow effect on his face.
  • 3: Filters- By using filters, I learned to manipulate digital art to create my own art piece.
  • 4: Layers - By creating different layers, I learned to separate the different parts of my work and put each part into a layer. For example the background could be a layer and the text could be a different layer.
  • 5a: Opacity - By adjusting opacity, I learned to change the physical appearance of a image.
  • 5b: Coloring [bucket tool] -   By using the bucket tool, I learned to fill in colorless areas of drawings or cartoons with color by using the magic wand to select a certain area and adding color to it.
  • 5c: Lasso + Coloring + Opacity - By using the lasso tool, I learned to select a certain area, then coloring it in to a different color (works best with black and white), and adjusting the opacity to the original features of the photo is still shown.
  • 6a: Gradient tool - By using the gradient tool, I learned to create different shapes and create art pieces.
  • 6b: Brush stamps + gradient tool - By using brush stamps from the brush tool, I connected the gradient tool and brush stamps to create my own art piece.
  • 6c: Filters + Motion Blur + Text- By using filters, I learned to create black and white streaks and add motion blur to make it appear blurry, and adding text by using the text tool.
  • 7: Glass effect - By using glass effect, I learned to change the blending options to make my text look glass effected.
  • 8: Photo filled effect - By using photo filled effect, I learned to put a photo within text by editing the blending options.
  • 9: Plastic Glass effect + gradient overlay - By using plastic glass effect, I learned to change the blending options and show a plastic glass effect on my last name, for the background I created a black and white gradient overlay.
  • 10: Crazy text effect - By using crazy text, I learned to change the blending options and show a crazy text on your first name.
  • 11: Club flier- the skills i learned to create my cheer leading flyer. I used the colorful gradient background, crazy text effect for the words, and many more.
  • 12: Dress Edit- I learned how to apply a texture on a plain dress to make it look more eye appealing.
  • 13: Change one thing poster: I learned how to make a poster more persuasive and look healthier  someone to actually consider eating healthier
  • 14: Jack O Lantern: I learned how to add shapes on an object (pumpkin)
  • 15: Brick wall displacement: I learned how to place a flag onto a brick wall.
  • 15b: Face displacement: I learned how to add a flag onto a face.
  • 16: Motion Blur: I learned how to blur a moving object.
  • 17: Gradient tool: I learned how to use the gradient tool to fill in the selected area.
  • 18: Blur glow effect: I learned how to make my husbands face appear with a glow effect.

                                                                           19.

To create this image I  first opened Adobe Illustrator CS5.  I made this USB drive by messing with the shapes. i continuously  made rectangles and used the round effect for them. I also used old methods such as gradient tools.

20.
To create my cellular device i opened up Adobe Illustrator. In creating this device i used many old methods, didnt learn anything new. i believe this was a good test because it reviewed many old methods such as using the gradient tool.

20. Extra Credit
In this image i just added a base to my cellphone. in creating the base i used the gradient tool, offset path and the clipping mask. these tools helped me make a circular base with a specific color so it look like the base reflects off the coloring. i had to mess with the coloring and opacity to make it look a certain way.
